Inleiding:

The BR 118 kit was designed to be a small compact reflex subwoofer, for smaller applications were a soft, deep and natural sounding woofer is needed. It�s also designed to give extra bass to the FR 101 and FR121 small full range boxes, other than the FR 151 and FR 152 midsize full range boxes. BR 118 is recommended in both touring and permanent installation applications. The 60 cm width is the same as the BR 215 double 15�and BR 218 double 18� subwoofers in order to make different configurations and easier stackability.

Luidsprekers:

The 18W1300 transducer was chosen especially for its large and linear displacement that provides an ultra linear piston action across the entire working range. The system should be active crossovered, but alternatively the passive crossover network gives a very cheap and affordable solution. The 12dB per octave filtering at 100Hz gives to this box a rich and clear sound. An external switch can bypass the internal crossover, making the system ready to be active crossovered, extending its application range. The tuning frequency has been studied and tested for optimum impedance load, taking in account the possibility to withstand extra power around 42 Hz frequency. Designed for 18W1300. Suitable also for 18LW800 and 18LW1400.
